What do you all think about the SAV Oceano line? I don't know but it is just something about that stain combo with the blue swirl stem that just POPS :puffy:

I love Savinelli but I'm not really a fan of the color combo. With rare exceptions, stem colors other than black or brown don't work that well aesthetically for me.

I must confess that I'm a bit of a sucker when it comes to a striking stem colour. Especially with an interesting stain. These are no exception.

I'm not quite sure what I think of those yet.I want to hate them, but I also want to love them.
This is one I should hate, but like for some reason. I don't think I'd buy it though.

Thinking about it , perhaps that stem on a natural rusticated pipe might look better
I like the natural finish with marbled white acrylic stem

Interesting stem, but I don't care for the combination either. Blue stem woulda worked better with an orangey pipe, such as the Miele specimen seacaptain posted a photo of.

Oh boy, I hope I didn't stoke the PAD on you Brother, hehe
The PAD has been strong lately already! Someone also sniped a Boswell out from under me at SPC recently. Maybe the 311 will soothe my pain

Panel bulldog with no bead line, with the blue stem, highly distinctive. I don't remember seeing this series before, but then, I've shopped thousands of Savinelli.

I am a huge fan and trying not to buy one. I just don't need another pipe.

I love the stain on them, especially the rusticated ones. I think they paired the stain color wonderfully to the blue/white acrylic stems.
Personally though I'd rather take this picture to a carver like Dr Bob and have him work his magic.

I really like Savinelli's use of colored acrylic, not just in their whimsical theme lines but also some of their more traditional offerings use subtly colored stems to great effect, like the deep chocolate color on the Seta and dark cumberland swirl on the Quandale. Not sure I'd go in for the Oceano myself, but after years of eyeing the Miele series on SP I finally picked one up last week and I like it a lot.

It is (surprisingly!) my best smoking pipe...or perhaps it is just the pipe most suited to the way I smoke. Either way, I am very pleased. Wow!
