Pocket Pipe

The only pipes I wouldn't recommend for pocket pipes are those with slender shanks and stems, like some of the more diminutive churchwardens or something like the Peterson Belgique, great pipes but vulnerable to getting broken if bent or otherwise crunched in a pocket.

I have the smallest size dr grabow. its great for te pocket and about a 15-20 min smoke.

Stanwell makes a featherweight series. I have the 211 shape. If you are ok with used pipes I've picked up a few small pipes on eBay and at antique shops. I have a few made in the 1940's that are quite small.

I can second the recommendation on Stanwell featherweights. I have one and although small, it smokes cool and steady. If you want a cob, try a Pony Express or Acorn cob, both are great pocket pipes as well.

And I am a BIG fan of Peterson, so those will definitely go on the list!

My favorite pipe to take with me is any of my Peterson X105 shapes. X105 is a modest sized straight billiard or their 150 which is a modest size straight bulldog. Why size for carrying is a concern I stay away from bent pipes.
