So, down here in Texas it is starting to warm up quite a bit (understatement). When sitting on the back patio in the evenings when the temperature starts to get bearable (lower 90's) I like to have a cool drink and smoke my pipe. The humidity and heat can wreak havoc on one's tobacco. So, choosing a nice, cool burning pipe that you don't worry about if the wind should char the top a little, is a must. Lately, I've been... well, dare I say it?... (GULP)... I've been reaching for a... okay, I'll admit it... I've been reaching for a COB! :|

I’m prone for you pipestud. I have 6 cobs and have to pray to bring myself to smoke any of them. But I’m in Georgia, so hot and muggy is the summer norm, just like you. Sometimes it’s necassry to bite the bullet.

Understanding the value of a cob requires disregarding the disdain of the many for the truth apprehended only by the few, that they are both cheap and effective pipes. Welcome, sir, to the exalted company!

You must really love your cob. From what I can see you're always selling off your nice briars, but never the cobs....

Taking a break from mowing and smoking a blend of Stonehaven and Amphora in an MM bent egg. Cobs! Cobs! Cobs! :puffy:

Prayer was attempted, but I received an error message stating Due to high temperature and humidity levels at the recipient’s location, divine intervention is unavailable at this time. Please try again in the fall.

Well, the best I can do is enjoy a cool evening smoke in a briar and keep you in my thoughts. Here in Germany it got up to about the mid 60s today. Alright, here goes. HU Director's Cut loaded in the Charatan's. Good luck.

What I wrote earlier. Well. You just remember when I'm trying to smoke a pipe in blowing snow and cold and sleet come December.

A cob, especially an MM will never let you down. I gravitated to them early because they were cheaper and they had the best reviews. I've yet to find a pipe that smoked better.

Yes! Burn anything with a white dot and use the ash to make pipemud for Steve's holy cob!
