New Members thread suggestion

I am new here but had a suggestion. Why not make the New Members, Introduce Yourself! thread an actual topic in the forums instead of a sticky?

That way it is easier to post and read about the new people instead of having the old ones go so far down so quickly. Also you might be late responding to a new persons post and then it doesn't appear in context anymore.

Love the site overall though.

I meant a new topic in the forums just like General Pipe Smoking Discussion, Pipe Tobacco Reviews, Buy/Sell/Trade etc.

I think its a great idea. I know the New Member sticky gets neglected, I havent looked at it in a long time.

I think he's actually suggesting a New Members sub-forum where new members can start a new thread for their introduction to the forums. They do something similar on a couple other forums I peruse.
I don't pretend to know the whys and wherefores of Kevin and his team, but I think that if there were a New Members sub-forum, I'd miss the new members' posts and only Lawrence and Bubba would greet the newbies. Just my 2 cents. YMMV.
