One thing I’ve found out is that those dinky little pipes aren’t necessarily the ones that they use at home. I’ve gotten a couple of what I call papa-San kiserus that are between 23 and 30 inches in length and the bowls are large enough for a fingertip. A good sized pinch of tobacco gives me a nice hassle free smoke for the better part of half an hour.

One piece of advice that has worked for me with a kiseru is to sip it rather than puff it like we are prone to do with our Western pipes.
