I have been looking at Wayne's pipes for a while now and came across this great looking Billiard at Briar Blues. The pipe is a nice group 5 with a great saddle stem. This stem is as close to a Rad Davis saddle as I have ever put in my mouth. If I was doing a blind test, I would be hard pressed to tell the difference. The pipe has nice thick walls and only weighs 50 grams. The blast work is very nice and the pipe smokes like a dream. This won't be my last pipe from Wayne.

I was wondering who got that one. I was thinking about it myself until I spent my pipe money elsewhere. Congrats on the nice pipe. What did you smoke in it.

I've gone back and looked at the pics a few times now. That's a beauty, I really like the sandblasting on that!

Thanks for the nice comments guys, I really appreciate it.
delkhouri, I tried smoking a bowl of Wessex BCDF but it had a ghost of Lakeland so I am going to send it out for an ozone treatment. I also have a Ruthenberg with the same ghost which I will send with it. These two pipes are the only estates I have ever received with Lakeland ghosts.

That's absolutely beautiful!!
Did they charge extra for the Lakeland Ghost? Or was it included for free?

Wow, that does have some Rad influence. I met Wayne at the NOLA show, heck of a guy and I was able to handle a table full of his pipes. He sold the two I had my eye on, so I left without one, but he's on my watch list. Nice grab from Mike!

Really nice pipe, I love the contouring around the bottom of the bowl.
Would it be possible to 'smoke out' the lakeland scent in time or is calling in the Ghostbusters the only option?

Wayne is a fantastic pipemaker and a hell of a nice guy to boot. Really, you don't deserve to own one of his pipes, but I am glad you got it nevertheless.

Thanks again for the nice comments.
styler,
Would it be possible to 'smoke out' the lakeland scent in time or is calling in the Ghostbusters the only option?
I have never heard about anyone smoking a lakeland ghost out of a pipe. I personally would not try as just smoking it for 20 seconds was enough to gag me. I think it would take at least 20 bowls to do it and I would rather stick an ice pick in my eye than smoke 20 bowls of that swill.
stan, no extra charge for the lakeland, I just wish I could get a hold of the guy who smoked that crap in my pipe.
peck, did I just hear you say you are glad I got that pipe? Do my eyes and ears deceive me? Don't go thinking I am going to be glad you got any pipe as we both know, you are totally undeserving of getting anything but a cob.

By the way, I have not seen any pipes from you in a while. I know you have bought pipes you have not shown here so get off your lazy as and post some pics. You know I still love pipe porn.

Wow, that's some grain in a blast! Nice massive look on that billiard. Take that one off the rack and you know you're down to some serious pipe smoking.
