My $2 Savinelli Oscar 802 EX - UPDATE with Photos

A month ago I picked up a Savinelli Oscar 802 EX which was missing the stem from a local antique shop. When I asked the woman at the shop if she had the stem she stated no and offered the pipe to me for $2. I purchased the pipe cleaned it up and sent it to Rich at Briarville for a new stem. Here are the results:

I'm very happy with the results. I would not hesitate using Briarville again.

Yes: oval shank + tapered mouthpiece = Canadian.

This is my largest/heaviest pipe. Here is a size comparison shot with my Savinelli Clark's Favorite. My Clark's Favorite weighs 41g and the Oscar weighs 50g.

No kidding! I’m lucky in that I can tell my wife: “Keep an eye out.”

On the other hand, now that I think about it she doesn’t have the “Pipe eye.” Might have to get up and go too...
