If you're into car movies check out "Two Lane Blacktop" staring James Taylor, Dennis Wilson, and the great Warren Oates, and "Vanishing Point".

Best road trip movie? Gotta be "Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia", with (again) the great Warren Oates.
All of these are too old for the Modern Classic definition, but great cinema.

I'd toss "Dirty Mary and Crazy Larry" in that same mix.

La la land was not even close to all the hype. Get some pretty actors who can't sing nor dance, pat yourself on the back for being Hollywood, and set it to music. What do you have? A best picture oscar

I agree. It was entertaining, but it did seem like a bit of a Hollywood circle jerk to me...
