Metro Detroit Meet Up?

Anyone interested in getting together in the metro area?

Sure. We had a group of us who were meeting for a while a few years back. Collapsed because we had trouble getting a time when several of us could do it.
We used parks and pipe shops, depending on the time of year.

Well, indoors would be prime haha. I’m in Oakland County but I don’t mind driving. What have you got in mind? This weekend is bad with the holiday, my kids are home from school.
We need to smoke out some more people from around the D and get a club going

It would seem to me that we are going to have to plan a bit, to get a date where we can get several people. Certainly we want to be inside at this time of year. Trying to find a suitable venue might be challenging.

Would love to get a club going, Hill & Hill might be a good place to meet. It’s by saint johns in Detroit, but it’s a true pipe shop.

Anywhere to get us started for sure, Jim would love the company at his place. There are a couple of others on the west side also when we get this going.

'Anywhere that will have us is good.' Is the crux of the matter... I'm sure my mom won't let me use the basement for drinkin', smokin' and such carrying on...and she likes younger men, so...

A cigar bar will let us drink and smoke...but only cigars... (unless we make some sort of 'deal')

How about a Casino? How about a outdoor shooting range?

I would think some Social Justice Warrior would call the cops if someone smoked a pipe in a outdoor park...unless it was the 'devils weed'...

When we met before, we did it in parks when the weather was suitable. We met at Belle Isle. and Elizabeth Park in Wyandotte, and not sure where else.

Who was it that voted for no smoking in Bars anyway?

I now embrace my social outcast station in life, keeps from causing a snowflake meltdown...Politics? Nobody wants to go there, unless it's all left turns.

Maybe it's best for me to stay in mom's basement. But, I do have bail money.

When we went to Belle Isle, we would find a place with a table or two, on the river side, away from most folks, pull out chairs, sit and chat. It really is not that much of an issue.

Belle Isle has changed for the better since the DNR took over...so I hear. I'll bring a porta-potty, a boom box and some rap tapes to set the mood, tho'.
