Fuzz saw them last week. Metz seeing them in November.

Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats.
@oldreddog That checks off most of my boxes for what's good in new music this year. The latest Metz album is great, and I'm expecting Fuzz II to top my year-end list. Haven't had much time to absorb the new Uncle Acid. At first I was slightly disappointed--it seems more like a side step than a real move forward, and has a bit of filler--but it's growing on me.

Skullflower + Warrior Plug
Boom. No f'ing with that brutal-on-both-counts combo. I have to say that I am more likely to give repeated spins to Matthew Bower & co. when there are drums involved. Can anyone recommend any albums besides "IIIrd Gatekeeper" and "Exquisite Fucking Boredom"? I can go in for some Hototogisu/Vibracathedral Orchestra and the like on occasion.

If you like a bit of atmospheric tech death then check out the latest Fallujah album.
Starlit Path
The new Amorphis album is pretty cool as well, best stuff I've heard from them in a while.

Smoking Mixture Monster prototypes getting ready for its release. The labels are gonna be killer this year. Keep your eyes peeled and be sure and let me know what y'all think!

I LOVE Candlemass! Even went to Stockholm a couple of years ago to see them perform there with their original singer from Epicus Doomicus Metallicus: Johan Längquist. The gig was so intense, hot and loud that my girlfriend (it was her first metal-concert) nearly fainted during Sorcerer's Pledge and I had to carry her out..

Oh for sure on the "various flavors of metal". Thrash, doom, death, black, crust, folk, avant garde, grind, melodic, power, classic. White Tiger, Winter, Nuerosis, ManO'War, Nortt, Autopsy, Diecide: Metal is my jam

Is that the Oz album where they supposedly remove everything but Randy and Ozzy and replaced the drums and bass with session musicians? Sharon got tired of paying the original guys. Ozziy is whipped.
