Samuel Gawith - Skiff Mixture

This is my after a sturdy meal "Nightcap" type smoke. To me this is a full bodied oriental forward English. It needs a wee bit of drying time to get that body though.

All day, any day smoke. Mellow but not too mellow.

In that order, though it could change around a bit depending on my mood or if I'd had a drink or two.

Pardon my obvious and unrepentant bias, but I am partial to the John Cotton's line, especially No. 1!

If we are defining an English blend as one with a good bit of lat, then mine are

Comptons York Full

Magnum Opus

Odyssey

Northwoods

Gaslight
But there are plenty more - it's hard to pick even five faves.

excuse me going a bit off-topic, but: What defines a "English-Blend"? I always thought of them to be blends that contain Latakia and maybe Orientals. But some of my Va/Per and Kentucky Blends are also titled "a typical English blend/mixture".
I read an article that GL Pease wrote that said, "A blend with Virginas as the base were truly an English blend". I believe it was the standard set in the early 20th century. I think most people today consider anything with Latakia an English mixture, I know that is my category.
