I just fired up some Coniston Cut Plug and read the thread concerning Ennerdale.
I've enjoyed the Lakelands I've tried so far and I realize that I've only scratched the surface.
For the sake of myself and other "saucy" smokers, let's build a comprehensive list of all things Lakeland and try to rate them on a scale of "sauciness".
Scale suggestions:
1- Is that a wee bit of sauce, maybe, in the background?

2- You can taste it but it doesn't need its own pipe.

3- Try not to store it in the same container as your delicate VA flakes.

4- You only smoke it in a cob.

5- You sit it out to air a day or two in advance of smoking.

6- It's a bit much, but you're pretty sure you'll come to like it.

7- The dog barks to go out whenever you load a pipe.

8- The dog makes you go out whenever you load a pipe.

9- Your wife inquires about your fidelity and searches you tobacco storage closet for a courtesan.

10- The postal carrier has strapped you package to the roof of his vehicle and wears gloves to handle it.

OK, so Ennerdale is around 10-11 on the scale?
Where does Bob's fit in? Grousemoore? I've not tried either yet.

I'd throw Grousemoor at 5 if Ennerdale does in fact "go to 11"

I would think Brown Flake Scented would be about a 3. BCP unscented would be a 5 and BCP aromatic would be a 7. All subjective of course.

So, this is where we stand, so far. I added DFU as a 2, based on my limited Lakeland experience. If that or any other ranking seems suspect, please chime in. If you know of any missing entries, please let us know.
There are a few at the end unassigned. Anyone with experience let me know where they fit.

GH&Co. Grasmere Flake is completely of the charts, to my nose.
I love Lakelands, Ennerdale being a firm favourite. But Grasmere.... 8O
