I just picked up my second Kaywoodie drinkless, both used. The stems on both are crooked (a bit) as if the previous owner over-screwed them and the metal insert (in the shank) rotated to the right a bit. Can anyone suggest a way to fix this?

Welcome in. Easy fix, heat the point where metal and stem meet for a few seconds with a lighter, then gently and carefully twist let cool a few minutes then put together, if not correct yet start over.

One was harder than the other, but I did it. And without breaking anything.
Thanks.
