Assuming you opened the tin up before it bloomed and smoked it, aren’t you still smoking the spores anyway?
How many tins have been opened and smoked, only for you to come back to the tin a few weeks later to find mold in it? I have thrown out a tin of GLP Jacknife Plug that did this. I personally wouldn’t take the risk with mold.
However if the spores are in there dormant aren’t you at risk every time you smoke tobacco or do the spores get torched in the process? Can’t say I have seen a mold thread here where someone has contracted a serious lung disease from it.
