So glad to see that you got a decent piece of briar and that you were able to get this out of it.

I'd like to see more angle shots of the bowl/rim.

I'm a big fan of partial plateau myself. I think it adds a level of character that a fully smooth, or fully plateau rim doesn't have, not that either are bad ( I love those too). I'm currently finishing one up I carved for my brother in law for Christmas with a partial plateau rim. I'll post photos when finished.

I like that the pipe is relatively trim and still has the deep chamber and plateau of a showy freehand. I'm glad this Danish influence is back.
