IRC Selection Savinelli?

I see "IRC Selection" from time to time on a Savinelli pipe. Can someone explain this to me. I googled and got something about Iwan Reis stamping pipes which seems crazy if true.

They had Savinelli make shop branded pipes for their store. In all respects it is a Savinelli pipe, just with the additional stamping. I have heard they are good smokers from several different sources but have never tried one myself.

I have a number of IRC stamped pipes, and a few of them bear a remarkable resemblance to other branded pipes.

I've had a number of IRC house pipes over the years, some with the makers name, some without. Without exception they've all been great values for the price.
