For a standard American brand that's still in business, this is certainly among the oldest. It's not just the brand, its the specific blend. Good article.

Yes, it is.
Five Brothers has long been a staple of mine. I love mixing it with other blends because it adds strength and absorbs the flavors of the tobacco that it is blended with without giving off a flavor of its own.

I love Five Brothers. Not just great for mixing, wonderful on its own, although I age it a little to remove the Burley bite as much as possible, a slight acidic tang.

Five Brothers is a good condiment tobacco to add to blends that are just too mild or that have lost their oomph in aging.
