I believe we, who have more than a few pipes, all have a favorite. If you could save only one pipe from a fire, which would you grab? No reason required, just your favorite pipe.

Actually that is impossible for me to decide. This PS Studio Brandy is one of my favorites.

If I had to choose, it would be this one. It was a commission and it arrived the day after my youngest son was born. I had to return it because of a minor issue and it came back two weeks later on the day my wife successfully defended her dissertation. Lots of good memories there.

I'm still not entirely sure what this shape is, but it's a squat... something. I get lost in the grain and the Birdseye on the bottom.

Actually, this is about to be my favorite pipe, but it's not in my hands yet, but soon. My Parks commission

. Got a Sweet deal on a S Bang Giant Billard, small crack in shank. Mike AKA Cosmic worked his magic on it with my Navy service, love that Pipe, birthstone is on the underside.

Tough to pick just one, but if I had to, this feels like home. Lucky shape #13:

I don't have many pipes and I am not sure which is my favorite. I know which is my least favorite. Its my Ferndown reo with Cumberland stem bent bulldog. I feel the stem is just too long. I just don't reach for it often.

Wow, I don't remember seeing the billiards before, tarheel. Those are really nice.
Bradley, that's fantastic. Cosmic does good work.

I just got the billiards recently. They were a custom order. The saddle stem has a twin I sent to a friend as a gift. If I had to choose one it would be the reo bulldog with the black stem. It is a custom color. It has more red than the usual and shows off the grain really well. They are Woodstock made by Les and just so hard to choose. The askwith is not my favorite only because the actual inner bowl holds less tobacco than my other pipes.

Brad, awesome save by cosmic and can see why that one would mean a lot as well.
This truly is a difficult decision but from a purely historic point of view it would be this Dunhill Bruyere Churchwarden with 14k hallmarked band and original marked case.

From an artistic point of view it would be one of these Calabash pipes by Trever Talbert, Davorin Denovic and Altinook collaboration, one by Maigurs Knets or the 2 bowled one by Mimmo Provenzano.

Or one of these two Morta pipes, the first a 9 1/2" Morta Cutty by Chris Askwith, the second the late Paulo Becker's Maya desnuda, hope I never have to pick since it would mean deciding what tobacco to save as well!

This one held the #1 spot on my Holy Grail list for several years, before it finally found me, a 1930's Comoy's 499 Extraordinaire.

Very nice Al!! These Bulldogs have become my absolute favorite shape. I can't really explain why. The aesthetics just appeal and it's true there's no accounting for taste.
