I started around the same time as you at 17, so I wouldn't doubt it one bit.?

I smoked my first pipe at 17 but only got serious about pipe smoking when I turned 18 and tobacco became more readily (and legally) available.
This forum is the only connection I have to other pipe smokers. I've tried to stoke interest in my friends, but alas- millennials love their vaping.

About the same here. There's a B&M thirty miles away, but mostly cigar smokers.

I've brought in a few others over the years and the only millennial I got was a first year one. He had a fascination with old timey things and sported a handlebar mustache much like myself. Wore a derby most of the time as well so a pipe just became part of his look.

Sounds very hipster, but honestly I'm jealous of anybody who can pull off a derby hat in public.
I had no idea that you have a handlebar mustache ? do you curl the ends up?
