Here's the pipe I posted in an earlier thread asking for help but this time the pictures are much better so hopefully we can figure that one out. I've never seen this marking before so I would appreciate any help you could give. Thanks.

Well, this may not move the ball forward any, but I could see the shank mark as BAJ. There is a Bjarne Allen Jensen mentioned at pipedia, but with no details. Another thing, perhaps the stem is not the original. I would expect a stick bit, or fancy turned Danish style stem. A flat plane meeting the plateaux doesn't really make sense aestheticly, does it?

That has occurred to me. I tend to agree that it doesn't quite "work" with the rest of the pipe but the stem is fitted so perfectly that I can't quite bring myself to say it's absolutely a replacement.
Thanks everybody for trying so far, I hope we can figure this one out.
