Help Dating an Estate Dunhill

Guys I found this estate Dunhill in an Antique store yesterday for next to nothing...I'm am having difficulty dating it....I will post what I've found along the sides and pictures to follow...it appears to be a natural finish..
Made in England (suffix 4 underlined after D in England)

Inner Tube 123 (stamped close to the bowl)

Patent No. N 30006 / 15
Other Side
A (possible lower case c next to the A but can't make it out for certain). Dunhill

From what you are saying, 1924. Look closely at the patent, is it Patent No. 11308006/15? See an example here, of a 1925 pipe,

The little c after the A is called a stop-- its actually an "o". Enjoy that beauty- might be worth it to send it off for a mild restoration, doesn't look like it will need much.

It appears that your pipe may be from the early 1950's and is a group 4 size. Here is some info that may be of help to you.

Curious to hear what you determine. That fact that it is stamped "Inner Tube" could indicate a much earlier pipe.

Northern...I tried flowers and chocolates...didn't budge lol

My guess, and I'm no expert, is that the finish has worn, faded over time. If that is a 90 year old pipe the finish has likely deteriorated.

Yes definitely faded. As said above, the Ao is the Bruyere finish. You can get some pictures of examples, also at piprphil,

Nice job on that restore Sam....my next question was who would you guys recommend for this restore? I've done other estate pipes I've found but I don't want to risk damaging this old Dunhill

The stamping a are VERY light...I had to use a pretty powerful magnifying glass to read them...I don't want to take a chance of wearing them any farther....the stem is perfect just really oxidized
