Thanks for the advice and recommendations, I'm very interested in trying the Escudo. I might stop by my local shop and see if they have it there.

I'm very interested in trying the Escudo
I tried Escudo when I was a super newbie and didn't smoke it right. Damn near burned my face off. Virginia/ Perique (Va/Per) can be a little picky when it comes to prep, packing, slow smoking cadence etc. I tried it again after learning how to smoke it (here on this forum) and the difference was unbelievable.
If it doesn't go well the first few times, put it away for awhile and come back to it later. Weeks, months, years, whatever. Escudo also ages very well.
Welcome to a fascinating journey and you've definitely come to the right place. Sense of humor and thick skin are paramount to surviving here. Oh and a fat wallet helps as you will most likely succumb to the enablers around here.
