I have three pipes that have a Lakeland ghost. They are sitting on my shelf until I see if I can exorcise the taste.

Nothing like a nasty perfume taste ruining a perfectly good English or Virginia.
Try ODF, I smoke it to break in pipes. Works especially well, for me, with pre carbonized bowls, often over riding the taste of those in just a few smokes.

At the utmost minimum you should have a separate pipe for english blends and another for aromatics. Everything else can be safely mixed in a third pipe. If you wanted to go another level then you'd have a pipe for each genre. If you're a true connoisseur then its a pipe for each blend, or at least your favorite blends.
