So I am about to start repairing the pipe that I was asking questions about, thanks again roth and the old Cajun, but one thing bothered me a little bit and that was the super glue since I remember reading something about some glues being either toxic or don't hold together at high temperatures so is there a certain kind of glue that would be best for pipes?

The water you drink has traces of arsenic, super glue in the minute quantity you use to repair a pipe is measured in parts per million, its safe, they close wounds with super glue, not to worry.

"Superglue" or "Crazy Glue" or more precisely "Cyanoacrylates" are used extensively in surgical procedures.
It is non toxic in the amounts used in pipe repair.

Thanks everyone it looks like it was just another irrational fear, it's my first restore on a pipe and I really want it to go right so thanks again everyone; now time to go get started on my pipe.

P.S. Thanks Cajun now I'm not drinking water anytime soon lol.
