Is anyone familiar with the pipe marked Georg Jensen Made in Denmark, and then on the bottom side of the shank, G Gant 53? This is a bent billiard, ebonite stem, some birdseye figures in the wood. I know that Georg Jensen was a Danish pipe manufacture, but I am curious if the G Gant is a model, a sub-line of pipes? Have not smoked it yet, it's one of my dad's old pipes and needs some cleaning.

Any info would be great to hear.
Thanks!

Thank you, papipeguy, for the link. Any thoughts on what G Gant is?

Definitely looks like "G GANT". In correction to my first post it's "G GANT 51", not 53.

It must be a good smoker because it's got a tooth hole in the bit. Dad was a serious clencher, and most of his fave pipes have tooth holes in the bits.

Huntertrw, thank you for that.

Well, either the "I" on the shank or the eye in me head has faded, so I will take it to be a Georg Jensen GIGANT model.....excellent! Makes sense as it is a big bowl.

Man, look at those prices.....cheaper than a Dr. Grabow of today.

Thanks to all for your help!
