Hello everyone. I had some time to kill last Friday so I dropped into an antique shop and found this Comoy's. I was very inexpensive. Looks like a painted on C. Nice prince shape and it looks like it was smoked only a few times.

Here's all the stamping:

There is also this "E" stamped on the bottom of the shank where it meets the stem:

Is this a newer pipe? Older? I was thinking about using it as a yard pipe. What do you all think?

Thanks! I actually got into my car to leave the store before I thought better of leaving this puppy behind with a price tag of a hot $9. I'm getting ready to smoke it through it's first of many break in paces of Five Brothers. 90's era you say? Very glad I picked it up. The grain is easy on the eyes.

Nice find. I also happen to have two of the ‘newer’ Comoy’s Tradition, with the later ‘non part 3’c but made in London. They are both of good quality. The stems need some regular maintenance to stay nice looking but they are also among my favourites.Pipedia

Thank you all. I'm in the middle of a move and all my pipe repair tools are already at the new place, which is four hours away. Once I get it set up to rock and roll I'll get all that oxidation off of the stem. Will put up pics after she's waxed and prettied up :puffy:

You have a better class of antique store, at least in terms of pipes. I really like the prince shape, and I think that stem will brighten up like new.

It is an after 1980 Cadogan pipe. The E on the shank is a production code. I have a BBB Best Make also with that E. I also have Cadogan pipes with H, M & J just to mention a few. First time a saw that was in 1980 on a BBB Neptune which had an M.

It took me a while to get to this one. It was a simple oxidation removal. Unfortunately and as expected, the painted C on the stem disappeared with a few strokes of sandpaper. Otherwise, it's ready for some baccy.
