So... it's goes something like this. There were these four pipes I was trying to decide on which to purchase. I even went to Duane (Embers) to help me choose. And the one he chose for me was absolutely awesome! Problem is, they all were absolutely awesome, and I still couldn't make up my mind with his help. So I put the names of the pipes all into a random generator, sort of like drawing them from a hat. By then a fifth pipe had entered the mix... couldn't help it... it was awesome too! Anyway, I did this a number of times, each time taking one off the list until there was two left to choose from. So I did it one last time and....... of for crap sake! I ended up visiting another site and accidentally bought this one instead!

It's all Ember's fault! :nana:

Wow, so much good stuff going on here! The brown stain looks great! And the silverwork! This is probably the only pipe that can pull off that stem!

Thanks everyone! I'm looking forward to this one (well we always do, right?) because it's my first Ser Jacopo. Luckily, coming from Al Pascia it shouldn't be to long a wait. They ship to the states wicked fast.
Al Pascia has the best pipe porn
Indeed!

I have a SJ blast Dublin with a slightly bent serpentine shank and stem, one of my five or six really up-market pipes. Wide-open draw, light weight, and big-big bowl. Definitely one of my favorites in a stable in which it's hard to choose. You'll like your SJ.

Thanks all! And oh yes, I fully intend to enjoy the heck out of this one! :puffy:
Going into the weekend, I'm sure, will play a part in how long it takes to get to Texas from Italy, but I'll keep you all informed. I was blown away by how quickly I received my last order from them.
The order was place U.S. Central Standard time at about 8:00 PM. I received an Email at 9:22 AM stating it was in the couriers hands. So we'll see how this goes this time around.
Anybody else love this stuff as much as I do??? :D

Hope you love it - looks awesome! I have 2 Ser Jacopos and they're both great smokers. Al Pascia is a real class act, it will get to you faster than a lot of places in the states - and gift wrapped too!

I know. I ordered a L'Anatra from them once before. Three days to Texas... I want to say two, but time zones and everything... anyway, it's confusing. But still... I rarely get a state-side order in that amount of time. The gift wrapping is a special touch that I just love. Nobody else does that. I love most of our US sellers, but they could all learn a thing or two from Al Pascia when it comes to style.

Well the package isn't moving quite as fast as my first pipe from Al Pascia, but it's certainly moving. However it's still only Sunday. It has recently left Italy and is now at Roissy Charles De Gaulle airport in France according to my last shipping update. So either it's about begin it's flight to the United States, or it may well already be in the air. Regardless of how fast it gets to Texas, I wouldn't expect it delivered tomorrow. So I'm crossing my fingers for a Monday delivery, which would still be quite quick, being 5 days or three business days. Closer to two business days considering it was ordered late Wednesday night. I actually enjoy watching tracking on an order from overseas, seeing where it travels too before ultimately being loaded on a plane to begin the journey here.

That is a very, very sweet pipe Sir ! Some of my best smokeres are SJ's and their elaborated silverwork is to die ( or kill )

for :worship:
For some odd sentimental reason I prefer the older red coral dot ones and I own some L2 and even L3 ( now discontinued ) ones.

Please keep us posted.
