Just a random, floating curiosity: Peterson owners, what is your favorite Peterson pipe(s)? Mine is the 107 Irish Harp billiard. The stain is rich, the band is silver and handsomely decorated with a lyre; best of all is the stummel itself, rather blunt and robust, with a large stem and thick walled chamber. Another favorite is the 106, a slender version of the 107. So what is yours?

I'm not a Peterson owner, but I can say that the 2017 Pipe of the Year is a damned sharp little number.

I have not yet ventured beyond the System Standard line, but so far I have a 303, 307, 314 and a 317 on the way. As soon as I find the right 312 it will be part of the rotation.
If you haven't figured it out by now, I like bent with round bowls (billiard or apple, no sitters), I love the fact that I can take the stem out while the pipe is still warm for cleaning and in my mind, there has to be a clear division between the stem and the bowl for it to appealing to me, so the nickel band is perfect.

Oh that's a tough one! I want to say my newest, the Dublin & London 106, but that might be because it's still new. Regardless, I can't seem to put it down. I've been smoking it almost exclusively lately, or at least once a day or every other day. If not the new one, then perhaps my first Peterson, a Saint Patrick's Day 2013 XL90 or one of my Silver Spigots. It's a hard call for me.

The Peterson 606 straight stem pot shape would be my favourite.

My favorite Pete, like auburnfan, is the 408 spigot. It takes on a much more prince quality as a spigot. I'm not a huge fan of the standard 408 or the Clontarf 408, which has a tapered stem.

I also love the 150 with the normal tapered fishtail stem. It is probable that this shape triggered my bulldog kick lately. Just a handsome shape.

But the pipe that I have most of is the simple, 03. I have it in Killarney, Dracula, Atlantic, a "Bic" model, and the Christmas:

The ease of a 03 is hard to beat. Nice size bowl, super comfy, and I don't care if it's a P-lip or a Fishtail, they all give good smokes.

My favorite is my post WW2 Pre-Republic Peterson Dublin straight smooth X155 Bulldog with a sterling silver band and a black vulcanite p-lip stem. I love the look of it, an dit's one of my top smokers.

I do like my Irish Harp 999, but this Aran 306 beats it by a small margin by being such a comfortable clencher and a well behaved sitter.

I favour the X105 shape - I have six of them. My favourite of all of these is the Rosslare. Lovely grain and an amber coloured stem - lovely!
