Maybe I'm just not tech savvy enough but it seems way to complicated to post images. Why can't it be just as simple as copy and pasting? Or sending an image from your gallery?

No it's not you, it IS way too complicated. I'm convinced it's impossible from my android phone. So I'm recusing myself from posting pics till someone enables 10+ yr old copy and paste technology. There's corporate sponsors here, all of whom have way more user friendly sites and web designers so what's the deal?

Canucklehead:

No offense, but you simply aren't following the directions.

You inserted this URL into the IMG box:

{{
20180827_165923-600x450.jpg
}}

(I added the double-brackets on each side, so it displays).
That web address makes no sense and will never link to a photo.
You added http:// two times.
The string you want to paste into the IMG box should be:

http://pipesmagazine.com/blogs.dir/1/files/album/18607/20180827_165923-600x450.jpg
If you do that, your picture will show:
20180827_165923-600x450.jpg

I can advise that if you need to post using your phone, a 3rd party web-posting site is a bit more convenient, like Postimage, etc.

Al and me working at the same time. No difficulties. But, your image location has the "https://" twice, which will screw up any possibility of posting an image. I also removed the size limiter that this site tacks on at the end of the file name.

If you find this site's picture posting too complex, use a third party image hosting site, like Imgur.

I seldom post photos because the cumbersome method this site uses. This is the only group in which I participate s that is not easy (not just pipe sites). Why can't it be simple copy and paste?

This forum is setup as a business, which is unique among pipe forums and exists solely thru site sponsors. To change the format, there has to be a return on investment. To this point, the return just hasn't been there. (the FDA reg changes alone cut back on site sponsorship) The the participation fees are still very low.....

This site or my phone was adding the extra http:/, I have to remove the extra http:/ each time apparently. My phone has no "right click" lol.
