Should I ever buy locally, I will say lata-KEY-a.
Internet procurement allows us to buy without a clue on how to pronounce. IE; Stokkebye. How does he say his name?
stock-buy? stoke-bee? stock-a-bee?

Both juvat and simnettpratt are partially right. It is a word of German origin and the 'meer' should rhyme with 'ear',
Ugh. As a native German speaker I tried to let this go, but I cannot. "Meer" is pronounced "mare." Not "ear."
Say M'ear'schaum in Germany and you'll get some funny looks and winces.

Chacom = "sha COM"

Butz Choquin = "BOOTS show CAN"
But I'm relying on 30 year old high school French.

Ser Jacopo is not pronounced like Jacoby Ellsbury

Il Ceppo doesn't sound like "eelsa-po"

Apparently even two native speakers can't agree on correct pronunciation... Honestly, Juvat, when you go down to the sea, do you pronounce 'meer' like in 'mare'?
