Call out to Comoy experts: Guildhall is a seconds label for Comoy. The Guildhall and Everyman seconds had 3 parallel metal bars embedded in the stem. Anyone know if and when the company used the 3 piece "C" on the seconds?
:D

I have a Guildhall with a C,but it is not a 3 piece but a stamped one.

The pipe is from after 1980 and the quality is lower than it used to be

on Guildhall and Everyman pipes with the bars.

I had a 3 piece C Comoy's Guildhall. The Guildhall was an actual Comoy's line for a time. These were different from the Guildhall pipes Made by Comoy's.

That's correct, there was a line Guildhall, with Comoy's stamping and the 3 pc C.
There was a seconds line called "The Guildhall" with no Comoy's stamping, which includes the 3 metal slats on the stem. Those have plasticky, pre-molded stems.
Here's another Guildhall that sold last year. I don't see them very often. I think that I made an offer on this one that was rejected. ($58 and needing restoration seemed too high for me)

Coincidentally, I just sold one that was on the classifieds here (but sold on another forum). It was the shape 17.

Very fine information.
The 3 bar Guildhall was a very fine pipe with a good sale here in Danmark

in the sixties and up in the seventies. I still have a shape 30 in my

unsmoked stock which I do not dare to smoke.
In 1965 The Everyman was priced 38,75, Guildhall 51,00, Academy Award 61,00,

Tradition 92,00 and London Pride 143,00 Dkr
For ccjones: City de Luxe 32,50, GBD Extra 70,00
