Welcome to the forum.

Cola is often used to clean the corrosion from car battery terminals.

Some websites list rust removal, grout cleaning, and getting grease from jeans.

It seems to have some chemical reactions. I don't imagine it would be great for acrylic/lucite or other plastic based stems, where a bit of dish soap would generally do the trick.

Many things have been tried on vulcanite/ebonite with variable outcomes. Since the oxidation on these type of stems is a rather chemical reaction, the cola approach might be interesting.

Try it on a less valuable oxidized stem, for science, and let us know!
