Ah, so good to see!
Would the following be a bit more on target as to color/tint of the leaves?2844

The photo is a bit over exposed, so I made some adjustments, mostly decreasing exposure and increasing saturation. But my tinkering could be way off, too.

That does look better, thanks. These are all just cell phone snapshot to me and I clearly don't pay much attention to details when taking them. I pay even less once they're taken.

The more pressing concern is why I keep posting duplicate pics when I post them...

Here
My cellar is fragmented into crevices in my little 900 sf house. Not very interesting to see, a bunch of boxes and totes.

Atop the safe are these two massive totes with my oldest tins. I soon after realized that I'm getting too old, tired and lazy to hoist large containers overhead, so subsequent containers must be smaller.

The Catyrpelius Mystery Box wing... Resorted

I have no recollection of what occupies most of these boxes, except it's all non-aromatic goodness.
2943

The small jar depository inside the bedside table.
2945

Cat litter buckets with tins.
2944

Some boxes beneath the bed, as well. And the "working" pile under my desk.

Pushing 100 pounds or so. Feeling kind of done with cellar building. Now, just random targets of interest.

I've had that thought myself. Don't get me wrong, I think aging tobacco is fun and I certainly enjoy getting to smoke the results. It's the "let's look into the future and try to imagine how much you'll need to be satisfied" part of the equation that always brings me down a little. Inevitably it leads to people on forums talking about dying and what's going to happen to their carefully managed stash, and it's not a pretty picture.

For me, the idea of dying and being survived by a mountain of carefully cultivated jars and tins for my family to deal with... that idea embarrasses me. It's not as undignified as being found dead surrounded by boxes of porn, but it's not that far off either.

I respectfully and very strongly disagree. I'd say a well-stocked tobacco cellar, especially with the quality of blends that most forum members select for their cellars, is more akin to a collection of fine wines or liquors. Nothing to be embarrassed of at all, and in some cases, a very valuable asset puf

In 20 plus years of drafting wills, I have written in some odd bequests. As of yet, I do not believe I have had a client bequest his or her tobacco stash to anyone. Nor do I have such a provision in my will as my stash is rather limited

Same here. In my five or so years of drafting Wills, I have seen many valuable assets left to the residue and remainder clauses. Anything that increases the value of the estate is a benefit to the heirs puf

Nice tons of tobacco there!
Here's my "cellar", around 8 pounds. I'm still trying several famous blends that are yet new to me so that's more or less it for some time. The missing labels on CD tins were used for a collage since they have a nice tinart.

Your stash is off to a grand start. I especially like the Pease tins I see in the back.

I found out I don't like Perique or too much of Latakia so I will stock up on Pease's Union Square in the future. I hear he's the right guy for English mixtures just like CD for Burleys. Their tobaccos seem to be a bit rough on the edges when compared to some MacBaren's equivalents for example but I believe the time will do its job.

I feel so inadequate  I have at most two pounds of tobacco scattered across random places. Maybe once I'm able to buy my own house some day I'll begin to be able to stock like some of y'all

I've got to say I thought I was obsessive about collecting tobacco, but now feel a whole lot more well-adjusted about my tobacco collection after seeing some of these photos. With a mere 40-50 pounds of pipe tobacco, I seem downright restrained.

I’m at about 50 lbs now myself but I’ve got to say I love these threads.
Seeing pics of everybody’s walls and shelves of tins and jars make me smile.
I’m gonna do a little organizing this weekend and get my shelf in order for a photo shoot
I’ll post some pics soon
Cheers boys
