Could any one shed some light too the origins of the Canadian shaped pipe ? I assume it is related to the lovat or visa versa ?

I think the longer shank helps us Canucks to keep the frost off our glasses.... :rofl:

I seem to find the extra stem length to be just right for sitting at a desk . With the elbow on the desk top one tends to sip these pipes rather than puff them . Makes one feel all Auguste Rodin when one is doing work .
