I came late to the party but it smells like somebody shit in a gift shop, Hak is the gift we all love to hate, the gift shop is our forum . Hak. We Love You Man! :rofl:
If it bothered me I would send it back.
I think it is a quality issue. If the producer will send out pipes with poor quality stamping that is very visible they will probably send some out with other defects that should be reworked or sent to the scrap pile.
I have 4 Peterson pipes and all smoke fine.
