I photograph a Bluegrass Festival called Delfest, back in my old home town of Cumberland, MD.

Would you be interested in seeing some photos or would that bore you like a 1990's PowerPoint slideshow?

I have some from years past and new images will begin next Thursday. :)

I love Del, and Bluegrass in general. I grew up bumming around in Bluegrass bands before I joined the military, and even now I live in the Bluegrass State-- Kentucky!

Speaking of Bluegrass, the mandolin player in this clip has a strong PipeWorld connection. His father is a serious pipemaker in Kentucky: 8)

Love me some bluegrass! Having lived in Louisville for so many years I got to get my fix a lot. Got to see Mike Cross quite a few times at Kentucky Music Weekend over the years. Saw Lester Flatt & Doc/Merle at Spring Fling about 50 yrs ago at my undergrad school, plus God knows how many others at the Florida Folk Festival & other places for a number of years. Doesn't get much better than bluegrass unless it's Bryan Bowers on autoharp or Sparky/Rhonda Rucker doing their thing!

I love traditional Bluegrass but not too partial to the newer stuff. Love to listen to Del & the Boys do "Vincent Black Lightning 1952"

Here is a shot of Del and Richard Thompson singing that song, for the very first time ever together!
