Hi guys

Just recieved this in the post.

As always with these things the excitement when opening the box is something, will it be as I imagined? Hoped? Feared?

I have ordered a number of pipes that when they turned up were tiny and didn't become a regular smoker because of that, this time the opposite is the case,

I wanted to start a little sub collection of BBB pipes and was hoping this would be the centre piece.
I would much appreciate your views on the hallmark date letter as everytime I look at it and compare it to hallmarking charts I get a different result. Birmingham Sterling Silver but date letter?

Yep. 1893. However, the Assay Office shows 1893 having an oval rather than the 8-sided "rectangle".
I had that one saved in my watch list and was called away from the computer as the bidding ended. You got a great deal on that pipe. Congrats.
