So sad, I loved his attitude. Always wanted to get together just once with him,Zamir (his Russian buddy) and Eric for drinks and a diner. Very sad...

I have a friend who suffers from depression and she told me to imagine the worst day of your life and imagine that feeling lasting days with no end in sight. It makes it very hard to go on even with the support of loved ones. Some people are born with bad hearts and some people have a part of the brain that just isn't working right.

My understanding is that his first divorce really hit him hard & that he never really recovered from it. Dude was an iconoclast & didn't care whether you liked his opinions or not. Gordon Ramsay has/had nothing on Bourdain. Depression is a mess, & not what most people think. I'm betting the cuisine in heaven is a lot better now. } RIP, Tony; you earned it.
