Alternative storage jars with flavours

Good evening all
Any views on storing tobacco in coffee jars,tea tins or anything else for flavour or accidently discovered a flavour?

I once stored some Dunghill Early Morning Pipe in an old anchovy-in-oil jar and the transformation was astonishing...I actually had a tobacco I could now smoke :rofl:
