Just a quick hello from a new member...
I chanced across this forum via a search for info on
bail jars and rubber gaskets for the same. Any of
my questions were well addressed. Thank you.
I am a pipe smoker of quite a few decades, and
of course collector (if not hoarder) of pipes.
My taste in tobaccos has gone through many evolutions
over the years, but always among the "naturals".
Sadly, so many of my go to blends are scarce or simply
not to be found as they commonly were.
Twas the day when a walk about town could easily
fetch a tin of Royal Twist, Dark Roll, Erinmore Flake,
or Escudo; one of my favorites. A touch of perique
is good for the soul. Even in a pinch you could walk into
any drug store and find a pouch of Sail Natural or Amphora.
A good smoke has become a bit more of a production now days.
Aye matey... such are the winds of trade.

Indeed, thirty years in myself and remember well when favored blends were a short drive away. Welcome aboard from Central Kentucky!

Welcome to the forum from Knik River, Alaska!

Still an awful lot of good blends out there, but now instead of a quick walk, its just a few clicks away! Thank God for the internet, else I’d be limited to about 25 overpriced blends at the local B&M.

Welcome from central North Carolina, The Old North State, though I grew up in the 'burbs of Chicagoland, been here since '72. Some of my people generations back were from that part of the world. I've toured around up there, but never been to the Cape.

Welcome! From whence do you hail?
When I returned to smoking I wanted to go back to Burlington Arcade (the tobacco, not the arcade) but found it was out of production. Fortunately, I've found a couple dozen other English blends that are just fine.
