I'll be there this year and plan to spend much more time than I was able to last year. I've set aside a small amount and promised myself a nice gift. Really looking forward to this show!

Who else is going?

Just booked my flight. This will be my 5th, or maybe 6th WCPS. There's always a lot to see, friends to hang out with, vintage tobaccos to share, and it's Vegas! You can smoke almost anywhere in the Palace Station, on the exhibition floor and in the lounge off of the floor.
There are lots of great choices for food, and the Strip is just a few minutes away. It's much smaller than Chicago, but my friends who attend both love the WCPS because it's a much more relaxed atmosphere.

I booked my room last night. This will be the first show for this guy! Not sure what to expect, but excited nonetheless. Any must see/dos for a first timer?

Golden Knights hockey game. Great team to watch. For food check out the Wicked Spoon buffet or the Caesar’s Palace buffet.

I’m going to plan on coming out. It will be my first time at a pipe show!

Living here I try to avoid the strip but I'm in and out of casinos for work plus they do offer a few things you just can't get anywhere else (bars, restaurants, shows). Now if you need any restaurant recommendations or places for a good drink, just let me know what you're interested in. I know lots of off-strip places.

I live here and avoid the strip like the plague. The WCPS is one of a few exceptions that I'm willing to make for short periods of time. What to see / do?

Sam's Town Mystic Falls / Atrium.

National Atomic Testing Museum

The Mob Museum

Ethel M Chocolate Factory cactus garden

Springs Preserve

I hope that a lot of folks get tickets for the Saturday night dinner at the show because a lot of celebrities will be taking questions from the audience. Sykes Wilford of SP.com was going to be the speaker but business caused him to have to back out this year. So this will be my second time to participate as the "Guest Speaker," but that's really a misnomer. I'm more of a facilitator for a crowd participation thing where everyone in the room gets involved. Wait'll you see the list of celebrities that I'll be talking to and giving the room a chance to ask questions of. And seriously, the food is really good and the hotel is absolutely fabulous, especially since the upgrade.

The only downside is that my wife has forbidden me to do a strip tease at the dinner this year. I asked her if that was because she was jealous and didn't want the other women in the room to get excited. She said no, she just didn't want EVERYONE in the room to be scrambling out the doors all at once in watery eyed terror. I don't get that but whatever.

The dinner is a fun event, and you help the show continue by attending.
If you're on the lookout for a great pipe, chances are you will find it at the show.
I go mostly for the chance to spend a couple of days with friends I've made through our mutual interests in pipes and tobaccos, and we usually hang out much of the weekend. And it's fun to meet new people and learn more about pipes and tobaccos.

It's great fun, and you'll walk away with at least a handful of good pipes, unless you leave cash and CCs at home. Not to mention all manner of blends and accoutrements.

So what I'm hearing is I'll have to hide a bunch of purchases from my wife!

Anybody know if the vendor roster will be published in advance? I wouldn't mind doing a little research before I hit the floor. I do have a couple specific pipe styles in mind and have promised to not purchase any more until the show.

Thanks to those who gave ideas on things to see/do. I'll only be in town for 3 days so I think my schedule will be quite full.

They have published the vendor lists in the past but I couldn't find one yet for this year's show. But if you're interested in what might be at the show and haven't done so already, I'd start following some of the pipe makers on social media. A lot of them have pictures of the pipes they are working on for the shows and it's a great way to get a sneak peek at the inventory.
