    Breaking in a New Pipe.

    I'm going to try some blends with latakia and oriental tobacco. I'll dedicate a couple of pipes to it. Should I break in the pipes with some mild virginia and/or cavendish first or do I go srtaight for the English blends(?)? Any thoughts?

    I just bought 6 rejects from an on-line auction site. They're labeled "made in England" "REJECT". They were in the original display box with some cleaners, filters and a leaflet, all fron Duncan. Supposedly from the 70's acording to the seller. Perhaps they are Duncan Rejects? If so, does anyone...

    I don't have much experience with english blends, but I've tried Rattray's Black Mallory. I detect a smell of/taste of pine needles in it? Is that a trait of Latakia or oriental tobacco?
