    Best Live Band(s)

I was talking with the wife about this last night. She reminded me about the first time we went to Sasquatch Music Festival at the Gorge in WA state. Walking over the hill leading to the main stage, seeing the view open up to an amazing river valley, hearing Of Monsters and Men from Iceland for...

    McClellands Syrian Has Run Out

I was never all that drawn to Syrian Latakia. Nonetheless, I have 2 tins of the 3 Oaks Syrian and 1 of Wilderness in the cellar. Should hold me over. I do, and have for a while, liked the sound of the Orient 996 blend. I would like to add 1 or 2 tins to the cellar, but just cannot justify...

    Best Live Band(s)

Damn you guys make me feel young. It appears very few of you have actually seen a "favorite" concert in the last decade hahaha. Some of my favorite shows tend to be local / independent acts; so listing them would be somewhat pointless. That being said, many years ago (2009) I saw a band called...

Bought a new Chacom Elephant 262

Hey guys, the pipe is smoking wonderfully. She is initially struggling to build a decent layer of cake, but smoking sweet nonetheless. If there was one complaint, I struggle to run a pipe cleaner through the stem. It appears the stem was constructed from at least 2 pieces; the base with the...

    My apology ,the experts pipe

Epsilon2, I like the pipe. I would love to see a picture once finished. I assume you will bend the mouthpiece once drilled and finished?

    Is this another Dunhill fake?

Hey Ash, I totally get that. However, as I said, fake estate pipes is "one" of the reasons I do not buy estate pipes. There are other personal reasons I stay away from them. Nonetheless, if I were to delve into the estate market, SP.com or one of the sellers you listed above would be the...

    Is this another Dunhill fake?

This has been the best / most informative thread I have read in a long time. Tons of really good information. All that being said, this is one of the reasons why I avoid the estate market. I would have a very hard time determining if the pipe was authentic. Personally, I prefer to spend a...

    Pipes Need Better Standard Stamping

MSO, I fully agree with you. I would love to have easily accessible information on the manufacturing date, location, etc of a pipe in the form of a stamp. For example, I have a Chacom Royale 364P that I bought 3 or 4 years ago. The shop owner gave me quite the story to accompany the pipe...

3.5oz of tobacco for only $1,000.00 at Smoking Pipes..........

In general you are right. However, if the humidor has been made for the pipe tobacco, and keeps it at the right humidity (lower than the required 70% RH for cigars), I do not envision any issues arising. That being said, I need to top up the solution in my cigar humidors every couple of months...

    Save Tobacco Packaging in Canada

I have signed the petition. I believe that plain packaging rules are a waste of time. It sometimes feels like countries are just trying to one up each other. Australia has statistical proof that plain packaging does not decrease smoking, so why bother. But here is Canada wanting to...

    jazz music recommendation?

I would like to add Medeski, Martin & Wood and John Scofield. Both bands tend to lie in the avant-garde scope of the genre, but can lay down some nasty funk when necessary!

How Would You Repair This Stem? (an ISPD Tragedy)

I have to say, I do not read TMB's posts as they are long winded and not really interesting. That being said, I love reading other members responses to him. Please Mr TMB, keep doing what you're doing

    Cigar vs Pipe tobacco

I have. I purchased a box of cigars on the beach while in Cuba a couple years back. Seeing as these cigars did not pass quality control (so they fell off a back of a truck) I was not surprised to find a couple that were so tight I could not draw through them. To correct this problem, I...

Snow, Snow and More Snow...Please Make It Stop

Lack of snow makes it very difficult to ski. I say, the more snow the better!

    Ashton Tobacco

I really like Artisian Blend. Smooth and creamy smoke. Have not had the chance to try any other Aston blends. I have found this to be true with all tobaccos, especially in beginning. Aromatics are for the people around me, but good tobacco is for me!
