    I have been wanting to try the Maple aromatics for a while, so Autumn Evening is a good start. I'm making my way back through last months crawl again. If this is more of the same you wont find a blend you hate. You'll just have blends you like more than others.

    I get a black licorice flavor that reminds me of other blends with dark Kentucky I have had. So far I am most surprised by this blend. I will be buying more. On the topic of the brushed black pipes. I own three of them. I clench them all the time while doing yard work, they are all light.

    I have tried posting my review twice to just get an error so I'll give my highlights and try again later. Like Magnum Opus it was dry enough for me right out of the tin. I get a nice anise flavor in this, that I only get from tobaccos like PH Dark Strong and Orlik Dark Strong Kentucky.

    Mine is bulk, but it has always had a forward cocoa smell. I only get the nuttiness when smoking. I do agree it is not exactly the same as the tin note, but it is definitely closer than I'm used to. After experimenting this week, I like it completely rubbed out. I was getting a bit of gurgling...

    I get this too, and it smells good enough to eat. The casing on this blend mixed with the nuttiness reminds me of those sugar roasted nuts you find at fairs and renfests.

    It's not on the level that C&D burleys are with N. Burley Kake is my favorite of the flaked/ kake burleys I have tried. I should have smoked Briar Fox before I tried it, because it was a let down in comparison. So now that I have hyped it all up, I'm sure you will enjoy it.

    Update: MO is growing on me. I have started to pack it looser and smoke it slower and it tastes great. The Virginia's come through better and it smokes a bit sweeter.
