    Best lighter for a pipe

I like how my zippo performs, zippo fluid is much better than ronson and I keep a djeep or bic (depending what the shop has at the time) as a backup, but the zippo works best.

When Stuff N Puff Don't Work

Cake doesn't form over night. Smoke your pipe and it will form.

    Which Peterson should I get?

My first briar that I enjoyed smoking was a Peterson system 31, it was very early into my pipe smoking. The cleaning isn't very difficult, you just need to clean the well with qtips or paper towel. I also have a Peterson Aran 150. Both are new within the last 18 months and both smoke amazing. I...

    Tamper Soot

If you don't have any brasso at home, first try this: Make a paste with lemon juice and baking soda, cake it on there and scrub it till it cleans up. I use this to clean a zippo whenever it gets sticky, have never used it to get a full buff, but there's a good chance that it'll work. You might...

    Invicta Briars eBay Win

It arrived today! I must say that it is very light, especially taking the wall thickness into consideration. I would dare to say featherlight. Unsmoked uncoated bowl, am currently smoking my first half bowl of nightcap in it. I would say its a pocket sized pipe as it fits completely in my shirt...

Can Anyone Show Me How To Take Apart A Kirsten?

Or do what I did and use a wooden spoon handle, hold the body of the pipe and hit the wooden spoon on the floor until it comes out.

    Will Retry This Inquiry

The modern system 31 has the hole in the center of the bottom, but the best thing to explain this that I could find was this picture. Hope it helps. I find qtips till they come out clean then a doubled over pipe cleaner work best to clean it. Also just simply take out the stem and dump any...

@boudreaux please refer to my post above, you can't pass a pipe cleaner in the traditional sense in the system 31.

    Will Retry This Inquiry

Its because the draught hole is in the very bottom centre of the bowl and the reservoir is under the bowl. Just run a cleaner through the hole at the bottom of the bowl and use doubled over cleaners and q-tips in the resevoir to clean it out. Its what I do with mine.

Soon Enough I Can Say Goodbye To The Egg Cartons

It does nothing but make it look like a gate, its doing its job at the moment but I'll have to get one with bigger holes etc. at some point.

    The Irish Connection

One of my favourites, quite strong in nicotine. The ready rubbed is alright, but the plug is awesome.
