    I leave all my tobacco in the tins. It takes months to dry out, and it is easy to rehydrate if you have to. I have a tin of Nightcap been open for over 4 months and still fresh.

    I have read on Australian pipe smokers group that on the rare occasion the duty is very high, you can send it back to Rich and re-pay the postage. Maybe send him an email to confirm, I have not had to do it before.

    I order 250grams at a time from 4noggins to Australia and from 6 orders, have never been taxed. If you are taxed you can either pay the duties, or return it to sender and repay postage.
