My pipe have tar outside
Pipe is being smoked to much with not enough rest in between mate. Also, toss the filter and smoke it without one until your new ones arrive. If you can't do that, take about an inch and half of pipe cleaner, bend it over and insert it where the filter normally goes. It will help. -

What contributes to my HOT smoker?
So possible many reasons attributed to a hot smoker. All stemming from baccy too loose/too tight. baccy too dry/too wet. Poor quality baccy/pipe. Too much laquer. Receive my test results and Info from Doc Appt. Definitely COPD. Later part of Stage 1 and early Stage 2, which means that if I smoke no more, things will not progress too terribly fast and I can remain fairly healthy for quite a few years yet. Who Has The Fewest Pipes?
Last count was 127 cleaned and ready to smoke. I also have 42 waiting for me to get off my lazy ass and restore em. -
Taste vs. Aftertaste
Pear wood is a good smoke. I sometimes smoke the same pipe for 2 or 3 days and just run a cleaner tru it after each smoke. Most ppl advise resting ur pipes on the equivilant of one days rest to each smoke. I don't follow it myself and have had no ill effects pipe wise. Just my take on it.- nsfisher
