    WW2 Rusticated Boxwood Pipe

I wanted to post this because of a post by another member regarding a pipe he thought was a homemade rustication. This pipe was allegedly one of a box full of pipes recovered from a railroad depot in Germany. These were apparently supposed to be for the troops from their commander, which was...

    My Sixpence Review

I have never done a review on the forum before, but I have been really impressed with this tobacco. Several pioes have offered their lives to help me try this, and I have been getting a host of different impressions of it. So here it is: First smoke was in a Stanwell Bamboo, that I typically...

    Rossi Replacement From Laudisi Enterprises

Hats off to my friends at Laudisi Enterprises, who replaced my Rossi Rubino with the bubbling finish at no charge. I had purchased the original pipe from a B&M store in Memphis, and the finish began bubbling up after the first smoke. The new pipe smokes wonderfully, and the finish remains...

    Bubbling Pipe Finish

I have heard of this, but had never seen it before, in 35 years of pipe smoking. This is a new Rossi Rubino. This occurred on the first three smokes. The pipe smokes well enough, and the bubbling has only manifested on the starboard side. Any idea as to the cause?

Brigham Sportsman Bent Pot, Thanks Pruss

Received the Brigham Sportsman Bent Pot that I Purchased from Forum member Pruss. He did an outstanding job reconditioning this pipe, and the grain pops out, even through the unusual rustication. It is has a nice, open draw as well. I am enjoying some Anniversary Kake with it now.

    Replaced My Lost Peterson Churchwarden

In 1986, my wife gave me a Peterson Dublin Churchwarden as a birthday gift. It was my first Peterson pipe, my first Churchwarden, and it became a treasured old friend. Besides being regularly smoked, mostly McClelland Tastemaster, it was the first pipe in which I had tried Frog Morton on the...

Return to the 70's: The Nimrod Pipe Lighter

One of my earliest pipe memories is of my scoutmaster lighting his pipe with a Nimrod pipe lighter. This functional example came to me as a gift from my lady.

    Stanwell Bamboo Billiard

I purchased the Stanwell Bamboo Billiard from Smokingpipes.com a couple of weeks ago: It is very light weight, approximately a Dunhill 2 sized bowl. It is also a very cool smoker, and I have been breaking it in with some G.L.Pease Cairo, which as you know is primarily Virginia with a hint of...

My broken Castello- back for WBR

I bought this repaired Castello in 2008 for $25.00: The repair stem is cheap Vulcanite and fit loosely. Recently, I sent it to Mike Myers at Walker Briar Repair for a new Lucite stem and a good cleaning. The new stem is wider and fits the pipe much, much better.. It will be smoked, of...

The Holy Grail: My Cheap Dunhill

I bid on this Dunhill on eBay, and apparently everyone else was asleep at the wheel, so I secured it for the low, low price of $37.00. The nomenclature is DUNHILL SHELL, England 12, Canadian, a blurred patent ending in 45/21, and Pending. The dating guide puts the manufacture date at...

First Impression: Peterson Irish Harp 80s

My daughter Pennye gave me a Peterson Irish Harp 80s as a combined birthday/Christmas present. The photo doesn't do it justice: There has been some discussion lately about the quality of Peterson pipes in recent years, so I thought I would share. The pipe has a deep walnut stain, which...

    KBB Yellobole- eBay win

KBB Yellobole Premier: Complete pipe with original stinger, the original owner either liked the air space packing method or never smoked his tobacco down to the heel. It is still yellow at the bottom of the bowl, and has some of the honey coating inside of the rim. Apparently, these old...
