    I though that the early pictures showed a very good grain on the strumel. That is a fine cross grain pattern. I have that DG did put out a great pipe back in the day. You lucked out!.

    I do enjoy smoking these Bashes but it has not been often. I will have to change that. On the left is a Pioneer purchased at Telegraph and Banchroft in 1964 On the right a Butz Choquin bought at the Brier Patch before it closed. I like the BC best.

    The one on the left fits most bowls. I have had trouble using it on the Kirstin bowls because of the sharp conical chamber. Does fine on the cylindrical chambers. The one on the right does not work on all bowls. Does ok on narrow bowls but not wide ones, in my experience. I use them to hold...

    Please Help me Understand the Breath Method

    Just close your mouth and breathe through your nose. (I can feel, with out the pipe, a slight bellows effect from my cheeks.) Now, do that with the pipe in your mouth. On the exhale, your should see a wisp of smoke from the bowl. Good luck.

    GBD Pipes

    GBD pipes were made in both England and France. They are very good pipes in my opinion. I have several with both the silver and gold medallions. The gold was supposed to be the higher quality.
