    Brigham Role-Call

Very nice, I love all my Brighams - especially the ones with acrylic stems. Let us know how she smokes once you’ve put her through the paces

    Where Do You Usually Smoke?

In the winter pretty much the only place I can actually sit and enjoy my pipe is in the car, so I will use any excuse I can to go for a drive. The other seasons, my condo unit has a traditional balcony as well as a unique patio on the other side, so one or the other depending on mood or I just...

She’s a beauty! Is the stem acrylic?

The (Un)Official PipesMagazine Secret Santa Thread 2022!

Hello Gents, I’ve not been as active in 2022 as in the past owing to taking a new job back about a year ago now. Things are falling into place on that side after a tough slog of a first year. With it being Christmas and a bit of time to decompress I just spent the last bit catching up on the...

The (Un)Official PipesMagazine Secret Santa Thread 2022!

I won't tell, so long as @mikethompson lets me "wet my beak" :ROFLMAO:

    This Year's Crystal Skull

I saw the title of the thread and got a vision of a limited special edition Dan Akroyd vodka in my head for some reason. Looks cool, probably my fav of the ones you’ve posted previously.

    First new Dunhill Purchase

100% - I assume they invented most of them along the way and that’s why. Good find OP I love the prince shape in general - the one I have just seems weightless when I’m smoking it.

    What Is This Called?

I remember one or two of my green smoking friends back in our late teens/early 20s had some devices like this. They referred to them as "Chillum" (or "Chillem" maybe?). Obviously some sort of colloquialism but that's what I thought when I saw your picture.

    C&D Folklore

I don't have an issue with the collecting of this much like some others I've seen, my only concern is that when eventually they pass away the executors or spouse might not see or want to admit the value that the tobacco may have and it will just end up in a landfill somewhere instead of sold and...

    C&D Folklore

I think in the back of my mind I'm always waiting for the "perfect" time to open one of these but it never seems to come just like you say. I did open a tin of MB Navy Flake that I bought from another member that was 11 years old as soon as I got it and it was incredible, so maybe once these...

    C&D Folklore

I might take a pass on this, due to the massive tin anxiety that I get on these small batches. I have been in for 6-10 tins on each of the last 2 Sunbears, the limited GLP Cumberland, the Savinelli 145, the MB Navy Plug, the last 2 Carolina Red Flakes and the last 2 CRFWPs. I have not yet...

Tobacco for Breaking in a New Pipe- Suggestions!

I remember reading somewhere that Carter Hall or Prince Albert are good for this task. I tend to run a couple of bowls of PA through a pipe the first time for the simple reason that it tends to burn steady and consistent for me. I also just plain like it and it doesn’t tend to leave a ghost...

A bowl of Cornell & Diehl We Three Kings in my Savinelli Regimental rusticated shape 101.

***What Are You Smoking, December 2021?***

It is very mild here tonight and I’m able to sit outside and have my first pipe in several days. It’s a bowl of Rattray’s Dark Fragrant in my Peterson system shape 313.

The (Un)Official PipesMagazine Secret Santa 2021!

Merry Christmas to all of our pipe smoking friends! I finally opened my secret Santa package; thanks a ton whoever you are! I love these blends and my Santa was definitely paying attention to my new found love for OTCs. Talk to you all in the new year!

Festivus: Let the Airing of Grievances Begin!

I find it quite irritating when it’s this cold out and smoking a pipe becomes unbearable.
